Prospector was born from a moment of frustration on the floor of the Prospectors & Developers Association Canada (PDAC) conference in Toronto in 2019. Co-Founder, Emily King, envisioned a better way to search for exploration and mining projects—one that didn't require trudging through Sedar for 43-101 reports or coordinating disparate Excel spreadsheets with colleagues.

Emily teamed up with her Co-Founder, Jon Godbout, to build Prospector Portal—a powerful search engine that cuts through the complexity, allowing users to search, follow, and share findings across over 10,000 projects from 2,800+ TSX and ASX-listed companies through a single, intuitive platform.

Today, Prospector has expanded from the Portal product, the original AI-enabled search engine, to offer customized solutions.
